location is great , freindly staff,
i think for a 3 star its very dated , all the way through , except for bar & leisure center it needs a facelift.didnt like the shower , it was so close to wall i actually had to put by back to wall to wash my hair. no individual bottles of shower gel /shampoo , just a dispenser with some horrible gunge in it! make sure to take your own ! overall 5 out of ten
Really enjoyed my stay at the hotel and staff were very friendly and helpful. As it was a family trip and we had kids with us it was excellent as there was games room and pool to entertain the kids and music in the bar at night .
Food wasn,t the greatest in the hotel .We had a meal on the Friday night and wasnt great and breakfast wasn,t the greatest either. We ended up going to Shelbys restaurant the second night which was value for money as the food was excellent. Rooms were extremely warm by night also as there was no air con.
Leisure centre was excellent.
Food quality in the hotel restaurant was very poor.
The hotel was generally comfortable and the service was always good and the people very polite and friendly. The room was quite spacious and comfortable
Some of the decor and carpeting is looking a little tired and ready for an update. The breakfast was quite poor with little cooked choice and some of the food not very good. eg. scrambled eggs were very hard one day and the next day very runny, the bacon was very tough seemed to have cooked a long time
Room size excellent, very comfortable and great value for money.
Could not empty bath as plug got stuck
I liked the hotel so much ill be booking again during the summer, its a great location and has lots to do close by.
I did like the spa and pool are of the hotel.
The bathroom was not cleaned, the shower, toilet and floor were not cleaned otherwise the room was fine for a budget hotel.
very nice staff and leisure facilities. very good location.
I liked the location and the music in bar at night time
I did not like room 229 it was small no view, old bathroom that was very small and the shower did not work could do with new tiles.
Helpful staff and central location in town
Mattress on the bed wasn't terribly comfortable
Location Excellent, Reception staff excellent. Food was lovely in the bar and good value.
I have stayed many times in the Royal and always enjoyed it. The room this time although comfortable, was a little cold and musty. The cleaning staff knocked on the door three times before twelve (once before 11am) and walked in, this never happened before. But of previous experience I would still recommend it.
Staff were friendly, Leisure centre was good
There is a serious lack of cleanliness throughout the hotel - a good vacuum cleaner should be purchased. I did ask my room to be vacuumed & it was, unfortunately the hoover ws not very good. Breakfast could have been hotter.
The hotel is in a good location and was of and excellent standard. Dining was very resonably priced
every thing it was just brill staff was brill and very helpful in every way thanks again
The staff at the front desk were very well presented, polite and helpful. I liked the atmosphere in general and the swimming pool is really handy.
The carpark fee was a bit of a surprise. We stayed 3 days & unexpectedly had to pay another €15 on arrival. Also the lights outside the hotel, lighting the building up at night shone through the curtains very brightly.
